Collegiate Wins Two LIS Championships

Two Collegiate School varsity teams brought home wins yesterday after their respective LIS championship games.
The girls’ soccer and lacrosse teams both earned titles against St. Catherine’s School.

The girls’ soccer team bested the Saints, with a score of 2-1. Meanwhile, girls’ lacrosse beat their crosstown rival, 9-6. The teams head to the VISAA state championships next week.

“Both of these teams have been extremely successful throughout the season,” said Collegiate Athletic Director Karen Doxey. “It was so gratifying to see how we handled pressure, competed with intensity and played as true teams in the championship games.”

Congratulations to both teams and their coaches for successful seasons!
