JK Students Learn Economics Through Dramatic Play
Collegiate JK students in Ms. Cutchins and Mrs. Owen's class decided the new theme in the dramatic play area would be the Cougar Shop. They visited the real Cougar Shop to get ideas for what theirs should look like and what they would need.
The students asked a Cougar Shop volunteer questions about how the store is run. In the classroom, they now have the Little Cougar Shop where they will be introduced to concepts of buying, selling, consumer, producer, goods and services — all through play!
