Inclusion Presentation, Exercise Strives to Eliminate Cliques

As part of Collegiate’s inclusion programming, Middle School students listened to eight fellow classmates speak about their experience at the Prejudice Awareness Summit last October. The students hoped to lessen the prevalence of cliques, and talked about expanding your circle of friends and not limiting yourself to one group.

The Middle Schoolers then broke into advisory groups and were asked a series of questions such as Which meal do you prefer: breakfast, lunch, dinner or snacking all day? Where would you rather go: outer space or a tropical island? The goal of the activity was to connect students with new friends and to increase inclusivity and eliminate cliques throughout the Middle School.
