Second Graders Present an Ocean Showcase
Collegiate School 2nd Graders presented an Ocean Showcase to display projects they created after extensive questioning and research on the world's oceans and marine life.
Lizzie Marchant’s class used digital storytelling on iPads to tell the "story" of their ocean research. Wonder bubbles displayed the writings and drawings of Beth Albrecht’s students while Samantha Huber’s class used recyclable materials to build the ocean creature they researched.
Channeling the Who Would Win books by Jerry Pollatto, Jessica Catoggio’s students crafted stories in a similar format, sharing what they learned about their ocean creature. Students in Karen Pickett's class created a variety of projects from shadow boxes to mobiles and flip charts to demonstrate learning.
