Global Trek through Myths Reveals Cultural Connections

Carolyn Villanueva’s 6th Grade students have been studying myths from around the globe. As part of their studies, they have been invited to explore and share myths from cultures they connect to or are curious to learn more about.
eila Gazoni chose to share a Brazilian myth and a Persian myth that her grandparents told her. John Dau, Collegiate’s Global Scholar-in-Residence, shared Dinka myths from South Sudan.

Student’s global trek through these stories have revealed shared elements and unique geographical and cultural elements in these ancient oral traditions and beliefs.
