Collegiate Players Present Broadway Classic, Chicago

The Collegiate Players will present Chicago (High School Edition), the Broadway classic, by Bob Fosse, John Kander and Fred Ebb on Oct. 23, 24 and 25 at 7:30 p.m. in Oates Theater.
The longest-running American musical in Broadway history, Chicago is a dazzling and satirical look at fame, justice and the American media machine set to one of Broadway’s greatest scores.

In Roaring Twenties, Jazz-Age Chicago, Roxie Hart murders her faithless lover and convinces her hapless husband, Amos, to take the rap — until he finds out he’s been duped and turns on Roxie. In the Cook County Jail, Roxie meets her hero, the famed double-murderess and nightclub performer Velma Kelly. Tensions come to a head as the two murderesses vie for the ultimate spotlight.

Tickets are $10 and can be purchased through the TicketLeap website or by contacting Kate Parthemos (kparthemos@collegiate-va.org).

Due to mature themes and language, this production is intended for Upper School audiences only.
