Tough Loss For The Cougars

It is always a great day to be a JV soccer player when your team can play competitively against the strong west end high schools. Collegiate played strong against Deep Run but the faster speed of play and the more intense pressure on the ball caused the Cougars to run out of steam toward the end of the game. Deep Run scored early (minute 4) but Collegiate refused to let up or play scared. Cate scored a beautiful goal just before the halftime whistle to even us up at 1-1. Deep Run scored two more goals in the last 10 minutes of play for the win.
