Collegiate Players Present Shrek The Musical

The Collegiate Players will present Shrek The Musical this fall in the newly renovated Oates Theater on Oct. 25, 26 and 27, at 7:30 p.m.

Based on the Oscar-winning DreamWorks Animation film, Shrek The Musical is a Tony Award-winning fairy tale adventure, with all new songs by Jeanine Tesori (Thoroughly Modern Millie) and book and lyrics by David Lindsay-Abaire (Rabbit Hole).

Shrek tells the tale of an unlikely hero who finds himself on a life-changing journey alongside a wisecracking Donkey and a feisty princess who resists her rescue. Throw in a short-tempered bad guy, a cookie with an attitude and over a dozen other fairy tale misfits, and you've got an irreverent mix of laughter, adventure and romance perfect for the entire family.
