Collegiate Holds Second Annual Giving Day

Collegiate School held its Second Annual Giving Day, a 24-hour, online fundraiser, today.
All parents, alumni and friends were invited to make a gift in honor of a cherished Collegiate teacher or coach who has made an impact on them and/or their children. The event was scheduled during National Teacher Appreciation Week.

Throughout the day, alums, board members, students and friends dropped by the Alumni and Development Office to make calls, drop off donations and just say hello.

The goal was one gift for every Collegiate teacher, or 252 in total. By early afternoon, the number of gifts had surpassed that. All gifts will be directed to faculty professional development unless designated elsewhere.

“Giving Day has been a record-breaking success for many reasons, but primarily because the entire Collegiate community came together to recognize our amazing teachers, past and present,” said Kristen Williams, Collegiate’s Vice President of Development. “We are incredibly grateful to the outpouring of support from parents, alumni, friends and students for their contributions in support of ongoing faculty professional development opportunities.”
