Cougars Capture Fourth In Volleyball Showcase

Playing in the biggest High School Volleyball Tournament in the state the Cougars defeated Clover Hill and Lee Davis to advance to the gold medal round in their division.The next day Jefferson Forest, the defending AA state champion, soundly defeated the young Cougars in the morning session but the team bounced back to play an inspired match against Annandale before losing a closely contested match 29-27 in the fourth game.

Congratulations to Dominique Meeks and Liz Rosenthal who were selected to the All Tournament Team voted on by the other coaches.

The players and coaches feel that this weekend's matches answered a lot of questions about the makeup of this team and will help them as they open their regular season against Goochland on Tuesday.
