Eighteen Collegiate Seniors Named National Merit Commended Scholars

The students are Catherine Alexander, Ellie Angle, Laine Beckler, Evan Clark, Zach Cohen, Kieran Cottrell, Mohith Dhillon, Jane Carlton Gremer, Wescott Lowe, Lauren Lynch, Sean McHugh, Ashray Namala, Scott Phillips, Will Reid, Sam Roberts, Taylor Ryckman, Turner Wood and Emily Yue.  

An excerpt from the National Merit Scholarship Corporation press release states: “About 34,000 Commended Students throughout the nation are being recognized for their exceptional academic promise. The young men and women being named Commended Students have demonstrated outstanding potential for academic success,’ commented a spokesperson for NMSC. ‘We hope that this recognition will help broaden their educational opportunities and encourage them as they continue their pursuit of academic success.’”
