Collegiate is co-sponsoring a day of free heart screenings for Richmond-area youths and adults ages 13 to 26 on Saturday, Feb. 18, and our students are invited to participate. The event will be held at the University of Richmond’s Weinstein Center for Recreation and Wellness from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., and offers an opportunity for athletes and other individuals to be examined free of charge, thanks to the support of the nonprofit Big Heart Foundation, which is working in collaboration with Collegiate, the Cameron K. Gallagher Foundation and WRIC-TV 8 to host the screening.

 

The event is open to the general public, and allows participants to be screened for heart conditions that might otherwise go undetected. As a co-sponsor we’re alerting you early, so that you can register your child as soon as possible by visiting www.heartscreenings.org.
