Cum Laude is a national honor society that recognizes academic excellence and citizenship, and Collegiate Head of School Steve Hickman applauded today's honorees for exemplifying these traits, which also serve as bedrocks of the Collegiate experience.
"You personify the call to lead that continues to inspire us," Mr. Hickman said.
Amanda Surgner, Collegiate's Vice President of Advancement, served as the assembly keynote speaker.
"Your distinction means so much; hard work really does pay off," said Mrs. Surgner, who is retiring at the end of this school year. "And to my seniors in the audience, the same is true for you.
"It's not about your G.P.A.; it is not about your college of choices. It's do you feel the need to proceed forward in our world and in our community and give back, in an honorable way, using the smarts you have? I believe all of you have that capacity."
Kudos, Cum Laude honorees!
