Jess Speight '17 Breaks Decades-Old Shot Put Record
At the CNU High School Showcase on Saturday, Jan. 7, 2017, Collegiate School senior Jess Speight threw the shotput for 53 feet 7.5inches. He beat the previous record, Tom Jenning's 52 feet 3.5 inches, that hadn't been touched since 1973.
Speight's throw landed him in second place in shotput at the Showcase.
