On Saturday night, students from the Faison School for Autism and our Upper School attended Faison's first prom, "A Night at the Movies," in McFall Hall.
The prom is the latest event in more than a decade of activities that have come from a mutually beneficial partnership between Faison and Collegiate. In preparation for the big night, a team of four students from each school planned together beginning last fall. Collegiate students decorated McFall Hall, and Con Brio, an Upper School group, played music. In attendance were 150 guests including Faison students, parents, faculty, grandparents and some siblings, as well as Collegiate students and faculty. Our kitchen prepared and served an Italian meal.
