College Deans Meet with Juniors and Parents

Today, as part of the Upper School retreat day, the junior class is participating in an application workshop with eight college admission professionals.

They will meet in various spaces in the Sharp Academic Commons with members of college and university admission office staffs from Virginia and around the country to learn about the admission process, how applications are evaluated, essays and SATs and ACTs. Tonight, parents of juniors are invited to hear from the admission deans during a special panel session at 7pm in Oates Theater. Both the students' and parents' events offer an extremely useful opportunity to hear directly from college admission professionals about the process.
