Cougars Win LIS Swimming Title

Collegiate won the League of Independent Schools swimming and diving championship in competition held today at the Kenny Center at St. Catherine's.
The Cougars amassed 559 points.  The host Saints placed second with 447 followed by Trinity Episcopal (406), St. Gertrude (222), Norfolk Academy 197), Covenant (91), St. Anne's-Belfield (77), St. Margaret's (53), and Steward (1).


 
All-LIS: Mary Katherine Kish (200IM, 500 free, 200 medley relay, 200 free relay), Ashton Pollard (200 medley relay, 100 butterfly, 200 free relay), Caroline Baber (50 free, 100 free, 200 free relay), Jasmine Harper (200 medley relay), Campbell Brewer (200 free relay)

Collegiate placed third in the Prep League with 310.5 points.  St. Christopher's (406) won the title, and Trinity Episcopal (356.5) was runner-up.
Fork Union (287) finished fourth, Woodberry Forest (230) fifth, Norfolk Academy (205) sixth, St. Anne's-Belfield (156) seventh, and Christchurch (85) eighth.
