St. Anne's, the State's number one ranked baseball team came to town undefeated in the prep league and with a 9-1 overall record. The game showcased two of the premier prep league pitchers, Trevor Knight for St. Anne's and Noah Greenbaum for Collegiate. Neither let the fans down. Trevor pitched a complete game striking out 9 and allowing only 3 hits to pick up the win. Noah mirrored Trevor's outstanding performance by also pitching a complete game striking out 8 and only allowing 3 hits. In fact, all of St. Anne's runs came after a 3rd out strike out. With 2 men on base, an 0-2 count on the batter, Noah threw an awesome breaking ball which bounced just outside of the batter's box. However, Trevor swung at the pitch as it bounced away from out catcher, Bryan Barley and subsequently made it safely to first. After a walk and an opposite field bloop single, St. Anne's had a 3 run lead. However, Collegiate was not going to let this game end quietly. They loaded the bases in the bottom of the 7th, but were unable to score.
