Led by the dominating middle play of Jackie Foster and Jo Beth Stoddard the Cougars defeated the Covenant Eagles to win the LIS Tournament and record a perfect season against LIS opponents. Kate Hoover and Cara Tuttle and Senior Ava Gorman led a relentless attack that kept the Eagles on their heels most of the night. Setters Regan Simpson, Missy Coates keyed the attack while Sam Spinner led the defense that sparked the Cougars to come from behind in each game. Opposing coaches honored three Cougars with ALL LIS distinction: Jackie Foster, Jo Beth Stoddard and Sam Spinner A 12-1 record in the second half of the season made for a happy ending to the season for the fans and the players.
