Collegiate Student Body Displays Cougar Spirit at Pep Rally

Earplugs were needed in the Seal Athletic Center this afternoon as Collegiate School’s entire student body convened for the annual Homecoming Pep Rally to celebrate Cougar pride and community spirit.
Filling the stands, JK-12th Grade students donned wacky costumes, wigs and green and gold face paint. They cheered wildly as each varsity team performed to rally team spirit for Saturday’s 1 p.m. game against Norfolk Academy on Grover Jones Field.

The 2019 Homecoming Court was introduced and its members participated in a relay race before senior Austin King was named Homecoming King. The Homecoming Queen will be announced during halftime at the game tomorrow. In addition to Austin, members of the Court are: Maggie Bostain, Gracie Clark, Lilly Hall, Cate Hill, Shreya Sharma, Addison Smith, Joseph Ascoli, Trey Boll, Thomas Lucy, Edward Sinnott and Nigel Williams.

Throughout the day, festivities for alums took place, including a brunch held in the Craigie Board Room of the Sharp Academic Commons celebrating graduates from the Classes of 1915-1968, and with many other alums planning to attend the annual Alumni Oyster Roast at Tuckahoe Plantation this evening.
