Collegiate Players Present The Fantasticks

For their second spring production, Collegiate School’s Upper School thespians, the Collegiate Players, will present The Fantasticks by Tom Jones and Harvey Schmidt next week.
Performances will be held on Thursday, April 26, and Friday, April 27, at 7:30 p.m. and Saturday, April 28, at 4 p.m. at The School for the Performing Arts in the Richmond Community (SPARC).

The Fantasticks premiered Off-Broadway in 1960 and ran for more than 42 years, making it the longest-running musical in the world. This funny and romantic musical tells the story of a boy and a girl who fall in love, their two fathers who try to keep them apart and a swashbuckling narrator who asks the audience to use its imagination and follow him into a world of moonlight and magic. This moving tale of young love is punctuated by a bountiful series of catchy, memorable songs, many of which have become classics.

Tickets are $12 each and can be purchased on the TicketLeap website or by contacting Kate Parthemos at kparthemos@collegiate-va.org.
