Collegiate Students Participate in Virginia Ethics Bowl
Congratulations to Collegiate School Upper Schoolers Zach Bostic, Steele Viverette, Owen Scher, Brett Glover and Colson Williams for their performances in the 4th Annual Virginia High School Ethics Bowl on Dec. 2. According to Upper School faculty member Rhiannon Boyd, who led the team and teaches the Senior Captsone class "Ethics and the Engaged Citizen," "They embodied all that we hope to see in our (future) graduates — inquisitive thinkers, compassionate leaders and responsible citizens."
She also made sure to credit the work of senior Capstone students Nichole Gould, Alex Hartmann, and Eva Whaley, who helped ensure that the logistics of the event ran smoothly. Collegiate's team made it to the semifinals, topped in that round by James River High School, who went on to claim the championship.
