Gettysburg College - BA
Johns Hopkins University - MA
Adam Ortiz brings a comprehensive range of experience to his work in college counseling as there are few aspects of the admissions landscape he has not engaged with firsthand. His career on the college side includes both small liberal arts recruitment at Washington & Jefferson College and experiencing the realities of highly selective admissions at Johns Hopkins University. Since transitioning to counseling, Adam has guided students at high schools in both the United States and abroad, developing a deep understanding of the opportunities and challenges facing applicants in a global context.

A growing voice in the profession, Adam has presented at national and international conferences, including ACCIS and International ACAC. He currently serves on the board of the Potomac and Chesapeake Association for College Admission Counseling (PCACAC) and was recently honored with NACAC’s NEXT Award, which recognizes emerging leaders with the potential to make a national impact.

Adam is passionate about helping students expand their horizons, whether they are considering options in-state, out-of-state, or across the globe, and empowering them to imagine the full range of educational pathways available to them.
