Bring a healthy snack and filled water bottle from home each day.
Archery influences behavior, self-esteem, confidence and on-task behaviors. This camp is designed to give beginning archers a solid foundation for the enjoyment of a lifetime sport. Archers will discuss range safety, equipment knowledge, sportsmanship, leadership and shooting ability. Mental concentration and self-improvement are emphasized. Students will work at their own pace and will not compete against others but rather work on their individual shooting scores during the week.
Pickup and drop-off for this camp will be at Collegiate School. Students are not required to have their own bows and may share bows and arrows during the camp, if desired. All shared equipment will be sanitized before and after use.
Students will be instructed by Marcy Reese, USA Archery State Coordinator and Level 4-certified coach. She serves as the head coach for Virginia Archery Academy and was National Champion.
