En Plein Air, or the great outdoors, is where artists will spend their week creating (weather permitting). Masterpieces will be inspired by time outdoors at Collegiate observing and documenting what they see and feel. We will create our very own view finder and learn how to identify line, shape, value, etc. Our subjects will include skies/ landscapes, architecture/structures, water and objects. Art will be started outdoors with any finishing touches being completed in the studio/art room. Artists will learn to sketch, draw and paint during their time outdoors. In the event Mother-Nature does not cooperate, we will create from life in the studio using images, objects and subjects that we find outdoors – en plein air!
