  • When was Collegiate founded?

Collegiate began as the Collegiate School for Girls in 1915, located in downtown Richmond. The school moved to its current 55-acre location in Richmond's West End and became coed in 1960. • How are diversity and inclusion embraced at Collegiate?

Collegiate's Lower, Middle and Upper Schools host a student diversity group called Mosaic, in which students of various ethnic, religious and racial backgrounds meet informally to discuss issues related to diversity, plan awareness activities and sometimes simply interact socially. Mosaic Too provides a setting for Collegiate's faculty and staff to discuss and collaborate on how best to embrace and support our diverse students.
