All Eyes on Cougar Football

Collegiate’s football team has harnessed all that they have learned last year to prepare for the exciting season ahead.
WRIC-TV reporter Natalie Kailbat visited Collegiate School’s campus Tuesday to highlight the Cougar’s Varsity football team and celebrate the lessons the players have learned after missing the previous football season due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

“Collegiate coach Mark Palyo’s program is consistently one of the best private school teams in Virginia,” Kailbat said during the broadcasted segment that aired last night.

The lessons the Cougar student-athletes harnessed during the 2020-21 school year have emboldened the players’ resilience and refined their character. “The attitude that these boys have had — you know, having not had a season — they’ve maintained being really positive, supporting one another,” Coach Palyo said. “There is a core group of Seniors that have been leaders throughout.”
