Russell Wilson '07 Named 2020 Walter Payton NFL Man of the Year

Congratulations to Seattle Seahawks QB Russell Wilson, Collegiate Class of 2007, for being recognized as the 2020 Walter Payton NFL Man of the Year, a recognition of excellence both on and off the field.
Seattle Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson has been one of the most successful players in the NFL since his 2012 debut.

Now the 2007 Collegiate graduate is recognized with the league's highest accolade, the prestigious 2020 Walter Payton NFL Man of the Year at NFL Honors, which was presented as part of the NFL Honors show on Saturday, Feb. 6, 2021.

The award recognizes outstanding community service activities off the field, as well as excellence on it. 

In his acceptance speech reflecting on the challenges of 2020, Wilson said, "To America, to the world - love is patient, love is kind, love changes things. The great Walter Payton once said, 'We are stronger together than we are alone.'"
