9th Grade Community Engagement Program Concludes With Reflection
Christina Mastroianni, Director of Civic Engagement at the Community Foundation for a Greater Richmond, spoke to Collegiate School's entire 9th Grade at the conclusion of its yearlong Community Engagement program.
Christina’s message included what it means to be an engaged citizen and how to find meaningful service opportunities in the Richmond area. She also highlighted the fact that volunteers are vital to the success of Richmond-area nonprofits.
With Christina’s guidance, students explored their values and interests through a document entitled "The Giving Back Guide" as a way to encourage students' service-related reflection and planning.
