Collegiate 4th Graders Lead Recycling in Lower School

Collegiate 4th Graders were trained this week by teachers Dana DuMont and Heather Graham in how to gather and dispose of all of the Lower School’s paper recycling. Students in Sonya Smith's and Chris Watson's classes will collect recycling on a weekly basis for the 2018-19 school year.

Ms. DuMont first demonstrated the collecting and bagging procedure. Then, students headed outside to the loading dock to see the trailer where they deposit the recycling before it gets picked up. What a great opportunity to demonstrate leadership and responsible citizenship!
