“A Sincere Thank-you to Weldon Bradshaw.”
Weldon was the first person to greet me the first day I stepped onto Collegiate’s Campus years ago. He continues to be a gentleman who exemplifies Collegiate’s values with warmth and genuine care for students and their families, his colleagues, faculty and staff. There are so many things to thank him for…
A Sincere Thank-you to Weldon for supporting the community:
Whether Weldon was in deep conversation over the finer points of the Middle School English curriculum or visiting a colleague’s home to bring comfort during a time of sadness, he embodies what we all hope our relationships will be as Cougars. And in his moment of sickness, he would try to lift others up.
A Sincere Thank-you to Weldon for teaching excellence at just the right time:
Weldon emphasized one’s “personal best” for student-athletes on the track and field. I heard conversations during the school day when he would “coach” students who were asking him how they might improve. After an important track meet, I saw him take an upset student-athlete over to the side to explain that things don’t always work out like they planned but to continue to give their best and be the best person possible.
A Sincere Thank-you to Weldon for telling the story of Collegiate:
Weldon has a way of bringing the values of our school to the forefront in conversations and actions. Whether in the classroom, on the basketball court, on the track and cross-country field, or using his amazing skills as a writer, he gave his all for Collegiate sharing history, connections and how the school life shaped the person and their heart for the school.
A Sincere Thank-you to Weldon and his sweet wife, Emily, for collectively nurturing, teaching and helping to grow literally thousands of Cougars.
The respect you have modeled we now return to you – honoring your lifelong contributions.
As we give our heartfelt thanks, please know we wish you and your dear family a special time ahead. Please come back often! We love you!
