Collegiate 10th Grader Performs at Carnegie Hall

Outside of participating in Collegiate's choral program and theatrical productions (her latest role was Mary Sunshine in Chicago), Collegiate 10th Grader Maria Bonwell has taken voice lessons for approximately four years. Her voice instructor suggested she enter an international vocal competition. Maria earned second place in the Opera Aria category of the American Protégé International Vocal Competition, and was asked to perform a solo at the Winners Recital Program held at Carnegie Hall on Dec. 21, 2019.
