Richmond World Affairs Council Appoints Collegiate Head of School to Board

The Richmond World Affairs Council announced on Nov. 26, 2019, the appointment of Collegiate Head of School Penny Evins to its Board of Directors.

 

The mission of the Council is to offer diverse Central Virginia audiences a forum to engage in dialogue pertaining to international relations with policymakers and academics in order to foster a better community understanding of international affairs and demonstrate the relevance these issues have on our day-to-day lives.

According to the Council’s press release on her appointment, Mrs. Evins was nominated by eminent members of the Richmond community. The release went on to say: “As an accomplished leader in educational governance with extensive community involvement, Mrs. Evins’ expertise and experience make her an exceptional asset to the Richmond World Affairs Council. The management and governing bodies of the Council look forward to working closely with Ms. Evins to ignite critical thought, provoke engaging debate and spark lively discussion on global issues.”
