Collegiate 9th Grader Earns Recognition for Salesmanship, Giving Back

Collegiate School 9th Grader Grader Beck Garnett, a member of Boy Scout Troop 444, ranked first in the nation in overall popcorn sales in 2018, with $88,000 earned, and was second in the U.S. the previous two years. In total, he has sold more than $200,000 in popcorn over the years. Not only has he helped his own troop, he has donated funds to assist other scouting programs in the region.

This year, rather than sell the crunchy treat, he has decided to train other area Boy Scouts in the art of selling the product. Beck's efforts were featured in a Richmond Times-Dispatch article. Click here to read about him.

Congratulations, Beck, and continued success!
