Food Waste Recycling Program Wins Sustainability Award

A group of Collegiate School 4th Graders won the Connect the Dots Green Schools Challenge for the food waste recycling program they developed last year as 3rd Graders with their teacher Katie Musick.

Connect the Dots is a U.S. Green Building Council Greater Virginia program that challenges K-12 schools across the state to develop and implement creative, effective, no- or low-cost sustainable practices for their school.

The group will receive the award at a ceremony on May 4 at The Steward School.

Congratulations to all!
