TECHNOLOGY Fifteen Windows and Macintosh computer labs, 6 portable laptop labs (on carts), and laptops for all full-time faculty. Campus-wide wired and wireless network provides high-speed access to the Internet. Electronic mail for faculty, staff and students in grades 9-12. Access to the campus file servers, Internet-based subscription services, library resources and age-appropriate Internet access for all students. Approximately 600 computers for classroom and lab use in Lower, Middle and Upper Schools. Most classrooms are equipped with data/video projection systems and interactive SmartBoards®.
PHYSICAL PLANT
- Two libraries with more than 39,000 volumes, state-of-the-art computer technology and electronic resources.
- Science buildings with 10 science labs for grades 5-12
- Hershey Center for the Arts includes 620-seat theater, art, music and drama studios and photography dark room
- Seal Athletic Center with dance studio, weight-training room, 12,136-square-foot multi-purpose room with capability for two full basketball courts, indoor soccer, tennis and volleyball courts
- Student Activities Center for journalism, tutoring and personal counseling
- Cougar Quest is an after-school program operating year round. It is available until 6 p.m. for students in grades K-7.
- Jacobs and West Gymnasiums for interscholastic sports, play areas
- Additional facilities include playground areas, 8 athletic fields and 8 tennis courts on Mooreland Road campus
- Robins Campus is 7 minutes from main campus, with 12 playing fields for athletic practices and games on 182 acres. Facilities include a synthetic turf field; softball field with dugouts; Sam Newell Field for baseball with a "green monster," concession stand, picnic pavilion, press tower and seating for 200; and an Athletics Building equipped with a state of the art training room, weight room and an indoor turf space. A new Tennis Center with 13 courts and a tennis house is due to be complete spring 2010.
