|  | Charles 'Charlie' McFallCo-Director, Athletics (804) 741-9745 Year Appointed: 1970 Randolph Macon College - BS University of Richmond - M.Ed. Charlie McFall came to the Collegiate School's Boys' School in September,1970 after graduating from Randolph Macon College with a BS in mathemetics. He received his MEd from the University of Richmond in 1976. He taught geometry and algebra in the Boys' School for 17 years in addition to coaching football, basketball and baseball. He became Athletics Director in 1988 and now serves in that role with Karen Doxey. He coached varsity baseball for 18 years and followed Grover Jones as varsity football coach until 2006. |
 Karen DoxeyCo-Director, Athletics (804) 741-9728 Year Appointed: 1987 West Chester University - BS Old Dominion University - M.Ed. After graduating from West Chester University in 1978, and subsequently earning her M.Ed. at Old Dominion University (1988), Karen began her independent school career at Norfolk Academy, where she served as the Girls' Athletic Director, taught P.E., and coached Field Hockey and Lacrosse. Karen joined the Collegiate faculty in 1987 and is co-director of athletics with Charlie McFall. She coaches the varsity field hockey team. Karen appreciates many things about Collegiate and the variety of programs it offers students, but she is most appreciative of "what the opportunity to participate in athletics at Collegiate can do to help teach students life lessons." |
 Will O'BrienAssociate Director of Athletics; Head Strength and Conditioning Coach Year Appointed: 2005 Mercyhurst College - BS, sports medicine Georgia State University - MS, sports medicine/exercise physiology Will was most recently the director of strength and conditioning and the assistant athletic trainer at the Westminster Schools in Atlanta. He is a certified strength and conditioning specialist and a certified athletic trainer. He is the head strength and conditioning coach, overseeing those activities on both our Mooreland Road and Robins campuses.

 Andrew StanleyAssociate Director of Admission; Associate Director of Athletics (804) 741-9703 Year Appointed: 1996 Randolph-Macon College - BA VCU - M.Ed A graduate of The Gilman School in Baltimore and Randolph-Macon College (BA, psychology) where he played soccer and lacrosse, Andrew Stanley came to Collegiate in 1996 as a Lower School teaching assistant. He taught 3rd Grade from 1998 until 2002. He is currently Associate Director of Admission and Associate Director of Athletics. He coaches cub football and is head coach of varsity boys' lacrosse. During the summer he serves as director of Collegiate's Summer Quest sports camps. He also serves as executive director of the Geronimo Lacrosse program. |
 Robin AshworthAssistant to Athletic Directors (804) 740-8739 Year Appointed: 2000 James Madison University - B.A., English Literature Virginia Commonwealth University - M.A., English Literature/Rhetoric Virginia Commonwealth University - Ph.D., Media, Art & Text Currently, Robin manages the athletics portion of Collegiate's website, and works with other AD personnel to cultivate useful applications of digital media for coaches and athletes. She designs and produces Athletics Department publications, including the Homecoming Program, and seasonal varsity awards Programs, in addition to other administrative support functions.
Prior to working at Collegiate, Robin was a technical writer with the State Government. She also teaches American Literature, Mass Communications, and writing and research methods at VCU, where she has served as adjunct faculty for many years. Robin is both an alumnus of Collegiate (’85), and parent of Madelyne (2013). |
 Mark ChambersField and Equipment Coordinator Year Appointed: 2000 Mark Chambers is the assistant to the Athletic Directors -- Field and Equipment Manager. Mark is a graduate of Mount Olive College in N.C. with a degree in sports recreation; while there he also played baseball ('89-'92). A native of Richmond, he has worked for Collegiate since 1999. |
 Andrew SlaterField & Equipment Coordinator (804) 317-8687 Year Appointed: 2008 Auburn University - BA Andrew is a '96 grad of Collegiate spent two years at University of Richmond where he played football and baseball from '96-97. He then attended Auburn University and played baseball from '99-2000. He received his BA from Auburn University in mass communications in the spring of 2001. He spent seven years as an assistant baseball coach at VMI ('02-'05) and Western Kentucky University ('05-'08). Here, he is Field and Equipment Coordinator and head varsity baseball coach/ program leader. |
 Shannon WinstonHead Athletic Trainer (804) 754-1558 Year Appointed: 2003 Radford University - BS Physical Education Virginia Commonwealth University - MS Physical Ed. – Exercise Science Shannon Winston, MS, ATC is a board certified, state licensed Athletic Trainer and has worked at Collegiate since 1998. Shannon provides injury evaluations, treatment, rehabilitation and medical coverage for 7th-12th grade student-athletes. |
 Jason EngleAthletic Trainer, contracted through Richmond Physical Therapy Year Appointed: 2006 Indiana State University - MS East Stroudsburg University - BS Jason is a certified athletic trainer who graduated from East Stroudsburg University in 2005 with a degree in Athletic Training. In 2006, he graduated from Indiana State University with a Master's Degree in Athletic Training. While in Indiana he worked as the head athletic trainer at Greencastle High School. He is contracted through Richmond Physical Therapy and primarily covers events and practices at Collegiate's Robins Campus in Goochland County. |
 Timothy O'SheaRobins Campus Programs & Event Coordinator (804) 592-4328 Year Appointed: 2010 Hampden-Sydney College - BA Andrew is an '06 graduate of Collegiate and earned a BA in economics and commerce from Hampden-Sydney College in 2010, where he was the recipient of the prestigious Davis Fellowship. As a Dean’s List student and a member of the school's nationally ranked lacrosse team, Andrew was recognized twice as a member of Old Dominion Athletic Conference All-Academic lacrosse team. He has coached numerous lacrosse and football camps and in the Geronimo lacrosse program. At Collegiate, he was a 2 year captain of the lacrosse team and received the Kelly Spirit Award. Aside from his job as Robins Campus Programs & Event Coordinator, he is coaching lacrosse, football and basektball. |
 Adam MossStrength & Conditioning Coach (804) 754-1556 Year Appointed: 2010 Virginia Commonwealth University - BS Virginia Commonwealth University - BS After completing his business management degree and working as a business manager, Adam realized his true passion and returned to school to become a teacher. Adam spent his first years teaching middle school physical education at a multi-cultural school in Northern Virginia. He returned to the Richmond area where he has taught, coached and mentored students for the past 13 years. He was an integral member of a nationally recognized model Health and Physical Education program for seven years in Henrico County. Adam has trained, taught and coached middle and high school athletes in a variety of sports, including football, soccer, lacrosse, volleyball, field hockey, softball, crew, wrestling, baseball and track and field. Adam has been an active participant in the GAIN Apprentorship Program since 2008, is a member of the National Strength and Conditioning Association, USA Weightlifting Association, Virginia Association for Health, Physical Recreation and Dance, and the Virginia High School League. |
